We are looking for a talented and motivated Business Development Associate who is ready to seize this exciting opportunity to join our Orlando, Florida office.

In this position, you will be part of a team tasked with improving our market position, with a specific focus on integrating ImmersaView solutions and products into PLEXSYS defense solutions, driving new business/market opportunities, and executing sales strategies aligned with corporate goals and objectives.

As a Joint Business Development Associate, you will be assigned activities under the direction of the CEO of ImmersaView Inc., and work with internal teams and managers from both companies to increase business relationships between Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) customers and PLEXSYS and ImmersaView solutions.

A self-starter with strong communication skills in writing, selling, and presentations, as well as experience with creating new business-to-business and/or business-to-government relationships will be essential for success.

In this position you will:

  • Collaborate and build win-win partnerships externally with customers and within company affiliates, with a focus on excelling in a highly cost-competitive environment
  • Maintain key customer relationships by planning, developing, and executing marketing and business development strategies for expanding the company’s customer base
  • Generate leads by using direct mail, seminars, networking and cold calls
  • Generate and maintain relationships, both in the private and government sector, to promote the company’s reputation
  • Build and grow a business pipeline portfolio to a high standard (i.e., quantity, quality and probability of win)
  • Gain and maintain proficiency in Company’s Bid and Proposal tools
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the technical and operational aspects of both ImmersaView and PLEXSYS solutions and products, providing in-depth presentations and demonstrations, both in person and online
  • Participate in the planning of events such as tradeshows, industry events, workshops, and webinars as well as work these events, as directed
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans and strategies to ensure maximum revenue growth and meet profit goals
  • Assist in developing and implementing company-wide corporate marketing strategies, methods and materials
  • Other duties, as assigned

Key attributes and skills needed:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of after action review, advanced display, and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) technologies used across Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) stakeholders; the ability to quickly master operational and technological knowledge of company solutions and innovation
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects from inception through execution with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task with exceptional organization, communication and interpersonal skills while thriving in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Professional presence with extremely effective writing and public speaking skills
  • Proven ability to create new business and client relationships
  • Keen interest to learn and grow
  • Willing and able to travel worldwide, as required

Education and experience required:

  • BS/BA desired, preferably in Defense, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field, or related experience equivalent to a degree
  • Experience and relationships with Joint (USA, USN, USAF, USMC and/or SOCOM) M&S or those organizations that fund and execute LVC training events for the individual Services

Additional experience desired:

  • Experience planning all aspects of successful marketing events and sales strategies
  • Experience with audio/visual technologies
  • Experience in operations centers and after action review
  • Experience in radio/data-links communication training systems
  • Background in operational aspects of C2ISR and/or fighter/bomber/electronic warfare systems
  • Knowledge and experience in government acquisitions
